Eric Story - The Activist

Why should I cast my vote for Eric Story?

Commitment - Eric is a native born Texan who holds dear the meaning of commitment, upholding one’s word, and keeping oaths. Along with his wife of 35 years, Eric has 2 children and 5 grandchildren to whom he remains committed. He has lived, worked, and raised his family in Congressional District 29.  As your neighbor, he knows well the concerns you have for your family and community.  When he makes a commitment to you, you can depend on him.

Community Involvement through Volunteerism – Over the past 15 years Eric has worked in a volunteer capacity with gang members, runaways, throwaway teens, homeless adults, prisoners, and immigrants.  He has spoken to children concerning applying themselves and staying in school.  Eric rides with the Patriot Guard, honoring those who have given their lives for our freedoms.  In addition, he rides with the Texas Honor Ride to raise funds that benefit our wounded heroes.

Conservative History – Eric has served for several years as the 1st Vice Chair of the Republican National Hispanic Assembly of Harris County.  He serves on the Board for Cherry Tree Republicans and works with the East Gulf Coast Conservative Assembly.  Eric is an associate member of the Texas Tea Party Republican Women, and also supports the TEA Party Movement as well as the 9/12 events.  Eric has served as Precinct Chair for Pct 0083, on the HCRP Outreach Committee, on the HCRP Military Affairs Committee, and as Grass Roots Chair for the HCRP. Eric has a proven track record for Conservative Leadership.

Foreign Affairs Experience – In 2009 Eric developed a association with the Israeli Consul General during their continued fight for National Security. He met with Honduran Officials during their recent Constitutional crisis. As requested by US officials, Eric met with a delegation from Uganda and Tanzania as they expressed their desire to replace US Aid with US Trade. As a member of the Texas Forum on National Security, Eric receives periodic briefings regarding Iran from former members of Persian Intelligence. Eric has a broad understanding of world cultures and the importance of America’s role around the world. Collectively, these opportunities have greatly reinforced Eric’s Foreign Relations experience.

Work History – Eric has worked in the oilfield for 35 years, affording him real knowledge of the issues that are facing the oil industry due to Cap and Trade. CD 29 has lost meaningful jobs in the energy sector.  Cap and Trade must be stopped.

Ability to accomplish – Eric has developed relationships with Conservatives at the National, State, and Local levels. He will leverage these relations in order to enact legislation at all levels benefiting the citizens of CD 29 and America while working within the framework of the Constitution. Fought the State Senate Transportation Sub-Committee and WON.

Health Care – Eric has received support from a number of Physicians due to his strong stance against the proposed, unconstitutional Health Care Bill.

Unlike his primary opponent, Eric has been involved in conservative politics for a number of years. Eric has never worked with candidates from other parties to unseat proven conservative leadership, like his primary opponent does. He brings to the office that he is running for experience, integrity, and commitment.  Unlike his opponent in November, he will represent the people of District 29 rather than liberal DC politicians.  While Green works hard to eliminate our sovereignty and freedoms, Eric will work to re-instate our freedoms and fight for our sovereignty.
